This is the 3rd vinyl credited to Astral Dimension, the first being from 1981.Actually this one is dated some years later, around 1987, when the Atari 1040 was finally starting to open road for computer generated music trough midi systems. And this library refelcts this kin dof sound, being widely away from the analogue warmness and richness of synth that we loved in "Galassia 81".But we are not disappointed, instead, the sound pallette is detailed and wide open in clarity and brightness. Here as always Fabor is joined in by Arena and his Dolby Surround final mastering that gives spacey feelings to every track.Fortunately this is an ambiental-ahead libray: timing of each track can led listener deep into evolving electronic patterns with interest and pleasure. If with the previous library we were deep into space emptiness, here we are into abstract an experimental panorama, strictly related to title tracks.First is starting with a long air noise like the ones emitted by concorde aeroplanes and then recurring layers upon the other transmits the idea. The Fabor's touch is always here, despite the change of instrumentation: it is always possible to keep some dramatic moods near to open up "happy" or "up tempo" tracks, this being the best ingredient here. "Sea Dawn" just let enter in the cascading and recurrinmg sound of ocean and crashing sea waves, together with a melancoholy feel of late afternoon beautiful landscape. The track "Space Monster" is heavy full of big sounds with a strong rhythmical percussion and sequential and returning melodies. Here sampled sound patches are used like concrete musique special effects but they are Computer generated and treated trough early MIDI to Atari. This library clearly makes me think for reference to the belgian musician Joel V.D.G.B and his many electronic records on Colorsound label from Germany in the 80's.Last three tracks just follows their titles and strongly suggest with sounds their names, adding more percussive feeling and superb atmospheric themes: the funny redundant "Cosmic Drops" and the "Relax Clock" with its soothing electric piano stabs just clearly balance the dramatic morse tickling of "Cabledrama" and the fear suspence of "Palpitation".Again a wonderful library shot from the late Edizioni Minstrel FLAM label, this record being quite rare and a sure pleasure of the best music from the "lost eighties style", wich has shaped the best electronica of the nineties.Roll up your sleeve and relax, this record library will do the rest.
