DEAD-SHOT
Yeah, it's just OK. Honestly quite a disappointment in comparison to every prior release of 'Best Club Anthems'. In both CD's, there are only a few good choices in an album with 41 tracks, but when thinking about the genre 'Best Club Anthems', the second CD does get my vote on being memorable in some areas throughout. Disc One isn't very memorable truthfully, but there are some worthy mentions. Modjo's Lady (Hear Me Tonight) is one, along with Sonique's Sky, Fatboy Slim's Sunset (Bird Of Prey) and Madison Avenue's Who The Hell Are You? Other than that, nothing good to say, as most of the tunes are not really dance music, but more pop and cheesier hits of the early decade. Very disappointing CD in my honest opinion, and I would happily skip it. Disc Two is fantastic... Really. It has many good hits (besides the horrendous D.E.V.I.L song by 666). We get presented with Zombie Nation's Kernkraft 400, Darude's Feel The Beat, Storm's Time To Burn, Porn Kings's Sledger, CRW's Lovin', Element Four's Big Brother UK TV Theme, Aurora Featu. Naimee Coleman's Ordinary World and SuReal's You Take My Breath Away. I have no idea why Planet Perfecto's Bullet In The Gun is included here yet again, after being on both the 2000 and 2K editions. It also has the amazing theme by Moby which is Porcelain (Future Shock Mix) which was very popular at the time, along with Salt Tank's Eugina and Groove Zone's Eisbaer. This one really redeems what would have been a waste of time, and makes it really worth listening to. In conclusion, it is honestly a huge drop in sheer quality and took a negative dive for the series. This is not a bad album by any means, but it has less memorable hits and less of what I would consider to be 'club' music, and thus is my least favourite release in 'The Best Club Anthems' series from what I have listened to.
