if anything sums up what DnB is then this is it: Deeperheightz Broken In Piecesdark, deep, experimental, fuck-you attitude, and like all great underground, only meant for the few.Overlook's Gumshoe is a solid amen basher full of tweaks that will please many but come on, it's been done a million times (Source Direct's Crane + Concealed Identity and Nebula's Ice Sculptures come to mind among others, )IMHO, Deeperheights is forging the sound ahead (and dare I say building on tunes like Paradox's ‎– Scorpius) and it's the tune on here that makes this an essential purchase.

Holy hell is that Overlook- Gumshow a beat switching fucking tearout masterpiece! Harkening back to old Source Direct with eerie dark atmospherics, the beats just get rougher and rougher as the steady amen switches back an forth between a myriad of different beats. You know that favorite record you like to cut? This one does it all by itself. Not really keen on the Deeperheightz tune, a little to experimental for me (doesn't even sound like drum n bass to these ears). Worth the pick up just for the Overlook tune though! Still not in your box? What the hell are you waiting for!
