Oveley
Abstract soundscapes by Kit Clayton, who has quietly been making the rounds of electronic music on the production of other people's work more than with his own work. And that's unfortunate, because NEK SANALET is full of interesting moments. The deconstructed voice on "Nuchu" leads into the dub-techo of "Purpakana." A certain chill creeps into "Aspoket," but "Nele" returns to the warmth that marks dub techno. The quiet but insistent "Nia-Ikala" leads into the spare "Surba." "Inapiseptili" ends the album once again on an abstracted note, the tones bouncing off the walls of an echo chamber. A slow, mesmerizing album.
