For your average Techno purist, the name 'Cream' would not be a name that would be associated with techno music in any size, shape or form. In fact most people would not believe the U.K. mega-club could ever release something nearly as essential as this. Geared for the masses buying Christmas Discs for the family at HMV, nobody could charge 'Cream' in any wrongdoings with this 3 disc set. In fact if you woke up one Christmas morning and found this stuffed in a stocking, you would still be listening to it now, some three years after the fact. Cheers for that Cream, your fellow Oggers would be equally impressed.

This is an essential techno compilation, covering everything from the beginnings of the genre with such artists as Kevin Saunderson's "Electronic Dance" and Derrick May's "Strings of Life", to modern techno anthems like those produced by Laurent Garnier (The man with the red face) and Umek (Gatex). Very good compilation for techno fans, even better for collectors. You won't find a collection of unmixed singles box like this easily.
