Captain America
A note from Heneee (one part of CAL-Q-LATOR):The single had a different tracklisting when it was planned. During that time there was a famous tune used for the advertisement of an established fabric softener. We adapted this tune, formed it into a hard techno track and named it "Fraicheur d'avril" (like the name of the softeners fragrance). As we didn't know, who was the original composer of this tune, the Label MFS sent an official request to the producer of the softener to allow us to use this tune...well, they didn't. Furthermore they announced to ban it by law and to condemn us to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars, if we would release it anyway.Unfortunately the artwork in the style of the original softener was already finished, so we needed to change something very quickly. The track "Fraicheur d'avril" was canceled and never released. The B-side track "WARP Malfunction" was renamed into "WASH Malfunction" in order to make sense with the cover artwork. It became the title track. The funny thing was that everybody said, the track really sounded like a "wash malfunction" (whatever that is) - with all the bubble sounds swirling around. Due to our disappointment regarding the canceling of the track "Fraicheur d'avril" we wrote the following on the cover: "Say NO to softeners! Softeners destroy our water & our environment."
