maybe that is the flaw on the 2nd generation hardcore.... Earlier each DJ has is own style.... now all is the same.. With now and then a nice track, but that's it.. I have still more favorites in the old part then this new part.
TheSuspect
As much as I like this release - especially when I consider that Neophyte is still around after all those years - I have one big problem with it: there's too little "music" in total. The tracks are all build-up and no payoff. Some of them take forever to establish the main melody after INSANELY long breaks (most notably Bottom's up, Put it to music, Recht uit de ondergrond and the Stunned Guys remix of I will have that power), and then don't deliver the goods, because the ending has been initiated already, which allows only 20-30 seconds of the tracks core in 5:30 minutes. When I hear music like this, it takes more than a few seconds to actually enjoy what I hear, and then being disappointed because another break interrupts the flow of the tracks. It is really a shame, because everything else on this record is perfectly fine with me, and I'd love to have this with more content in the tracks.
