This release is amazing! I must say that out of all of Steve Rachmad's wonderful aliases, that Parallel 9 releases some of my favorite music from the prolific Dutch producer. At the time of the rerelease of Secret Life of Machines, they produced a video in which they interview Steve about the record. At the beginning of the video there are many well known DJ's talking about the impact that the Secret Life of Machines had on them. They had people like Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann giving praise to tracks like Astronotes. It was very touching to see. Why am I saying all of this, is because these tracks have stood the test of time, just like Secret Life of Machines. They are deep, dubby, and they just don't give up to the end. Perfect at all times of the night. All of Parallel 9's tracks need to be dropped on big sound systems.
