Aaaaah.....So nice that now any old soul can snap up a cheap copy of this edit. Only right that they have the right to own something currently valuable and sort after, even if it was available for face value years after it was first released.

For sure this is a great track but i miss a little bit of a progression towards the end, a funky guitar would have been great..

"HIT IT N QUIT IT" Salsoul Release Date October 9, 2017SHORT BACK STORY: The popular version of "Hit It N Quit It" first heard by many was part of a vinyl compilation release “Chicago Service” originally put out by the Lumberjacks In Hell label in September 2013. It is the same version being released on Salsoul Records. This version is actually a remake created by Cratebug between Dec 2010 – Jan 2011. The remake was inspired by a Jamie 326 edit of Loleatta Holloway’s “Hit And Run” that he made in the mid to late 2000’s. Cratebug created what is now the popular version of “Hit It N Quit It” but it would have never existed were it not for Jamie 326’s original idea and vision. Jamie’s original edit was for his personal use and was not shared publicly except among trusted dj friends (if that). Jamie’s edit is raw and powerful and he allowed Loleatta’s vocals to flow naturally over a hypnotic loop sampled from the “Hit And Run” mainstream release itself (The same loop sample was used by Carl Craig in Paperclip People "Throw"). The Cratebug version is a bit more polished in the manner which he manipulated Loleatta’s vocals so as to have her spoken-word message sound as though she is talking along with the rhythm and beat of the track….to dramatic effect. It’s why many believe the track has worked so well.

Confirmed by those involved that this is the same mix that was featured on the Chicago Service LP. Massive track!
