Peter Vriends' only album as the Quadripart Project, EMOTIONAL TRAVELOGUE, starts with the soothing tones of "Serenity." But "Joy" brings the rhythm in more prominently, and "Fear" keeps swinging with it. The music here is subdued overall, almost meditative at points. Even "Anger" only gets slightly annoyed. though "Envy" hits harder than most. "Lust" uses its acid line to keep thing relatively calm, and "Jealously" has a touch of brightness to it. "Love" isn't so much romantic as it is frantic, and the final track, "Joy (Endless Sensuality Suite)" adds a little funk guitar to help liven it up. Even if the emotional quality of the tracks don't quite adhere to the titles, I'd listen to this again once more, with feeling.
