Easily one of the best netlabel releases I've ever heard, not to mention one of the best electronic music compilations ever. The first five tracks are a perfect line-up of other-worldly, atmospheric, melodic IDM. It's hard for me to pick a favorite from among these, I like them all so much, though the tracks by Galaktlan and Am-boy may stand out slightly. The Isan track is my favorite song ever by them. After that, it takes a turn to a slightly brighter less other-worldly sound with a track by IJO before entering back into the land of atmospheric melancholy with Norman Fairbanks. Tracks by Yagya and Tisane offer more driving beats but are still deeply atmospheric, before the last part of the album returns to the more atmospheric IDM style that began the album, with the second Galaktlan track being a clear stand-out for me. This compilation is a free download, but I would have been more than satisfied if I had paid for it. Almost five years after its initial release it still has the ability to captivate me.
