Music of the 90's with that wonderful 90's deep chill-downtempo sound that captivates even today! An accomplished album using a fusion of well implemented downtempo genres across instrumental root dub, downtempo trip-hop beats that play with other techy elements, even the occasional intelligent use of breakbeat; all this then added with some lush soothing synth-like ambient that swirl around the rhythms. Music that will certainly appeal to those who did, & still do, love listening to the 90's underground music scene of non-commercialized artist from the likes of: Amon Tobin, Journeyman, The Solid Doctor, Nu Era, Snakestyle, Interloper, Fila Brazillia, Nightmares On Wax (esp 2nd & 3rd album), Drome (esp 2nd album), NonPlace Urban Field, International Observer, Urban Tribe(debut) ..etc; and music from labels such as Mo'Wax, Ntone, Ninja Tunes, Pork, Dubmission Warp, Zen..etc. Here's hoping The Kaleidoscope(aka D & D Spencer) will someday return. His music has never disappointed.
