Excellent LP, got a nice futuristic vibe that seperates it from the likes of Greetings from Birmingham. Top marks

Scorn is a very interesting alias of Mick Harris, my favorite to be exact. Harris in my opinion is a master in programming beats with great drum structures. This album, maybe together with Greetings From Birmingham, has to be the best album to date from Scorn. The dark and slow heavy beats will make your head nod any time you listen to it. Every composition contains twisted haunting and disturbing electronics over these great beats, this combination creates a rather dark atmosphere....something that I love in music. My favorite track on this album, Dangler, contains a great paranoid piano sample. Something Scorn experimented with on this album, as he uses piano samples a few other times. This album came out in 2002 so it has been a couple of years since the release. I sure hope he will be releasing more full length albums in the future under his Scorn monniker.

Hip Hop beats meet dub and dark electronics on this amazing release from Mick. Filtered piano samples haunt several of the tracks in just the right way with the vocal on the first track summing it all up perfectly. Interestingly enough I discovered that all the tracks can be played at 45rpm as well as 33, changing the tracks to some of the best DnB I've ever heard (which is saying something as I'm not a huge fan of the genre) which mix together perfectly. If that is intentional then it's the cherry on the cake of this suberb piece of programming.
