Mr.Savik
1996, I was visiting my local recordstore "Down-Town Records" in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. Down-Town had a permit for also selling softdrugs (weed, hasjies and spacecake) so it was a record and coffeeshop in one. A great combination :) I roled my joint, took a cup of coffee and started checking out the new records on the turntable when Cristine, the boss, pointed me at a new pile of records that had just arrived. She smiled because she was sure I'd liked it.. This is when I first saw this record of Lenny Dee and it was the best I ever heared! The Dreamer is such a magical track due to the piano and the spacy relaxing samples and one hell of a kick. It was spot on, such a balanced hardcore track. The other tracks are also amazing releases, a bit spacy, trancy however you want to call it, just great! Selecting the number one record to take home was no issue anymore, this one I had to take! As a very satisfied man I left the shop smiling all the time my way to home. And today it still is one of the very best hardcore releases ever made!!!
