It would have been too easy to Victor Life to re edit his masterpiece of the eighties.Victor Life offer us a new gem cause we are living in the year 2011.So, what you got is a REAL new version that, at the same time, respect his artistic vision.Respect!

Give the guy a break - He's only trying to make a little money off the trendy dorks on websites like CBS. Wouldn't you try to make a little money also if your old, forgotten records were launched out of obscurity by kids obsessed with retro music?

I have to agree absolutely to what PHAEAX says. It's hard to imagine why Victor Life would take such a piss on his own aura of italo disco-credibility but he sure does so with that "New Version" of "Gitano". Maybe it's a joke I don't get, maybe he spent the last 25 years on a planet where music like that does not suck balls of various kinds or he just wanted to ruin everything cool the original "Gitano"-track stands for with just one other release. In that case: Mission very well accomplished, Mr. Life. Please do yourself a favor and never click on that iTunes-link. It's like watching your favourite kitten stomped to death by a very fat and horribly smelling repulsive old man.

To be very honest I think this record should never be released at all. Soundquality is very poor. The track 'Magic Love' - the main reason for me to purchase this 12" - appeared to be a knullige re-edit of the actual demoversion wich is online. Soundsignal thickness feels like an 64mbit MP3 pumped through a noisegate, Maximizer & stereo enhancer. That version of Gitano is an insult! Helemaal KAPOTGEMASTERD en over de KNULLIGE remixcapriolen en dat Hysterische wijf dat er doorheen loopt te zeiken maar te zwijgen. - Wat een BAGGER!!! The best track (voor WAT het waard mag zijn) on this 12" is 'In my Soul' which made me think of the Oldschool Kirlian Camera songs. Let's hope that the promissed Album (EL RECTUM LUX...) will be released after a mastersession with more dedication & love for the product.
