Every now and again KC will release an album that almost sounds like he's trying too hard to be 'mainstream' (I'm looking at you Astronaut Meets Appleman!) . The production is far more 'glossy' than his usual and he even drops a rather inappropriate F-bomb on one of the albums early tracks. It's good album, but not a favourite of mine. Mostly I listen to this and dream of how it could've turned out if the electronics were kept at bay; there's little hint of his folk beginnings. That being said; No Way She Exists and Coast On By are both rather excellent pop songs.
