Yet another strong early-‘80s funk cut gets remade in the currently in vogue disco-house stylee. Using the vocals of Larry James’ funk collective Fat Larry’s Band (best known for their saccharine hit ‘Zoom’ from two decades ago), and their anthemic ‘Act Like You Know’. The bassline is instantly familiar, whilst the vocals (time-stretched just a tad too much in our opinion) will jog many a cobweb from the memory if the rasping guitar licks don’t. Made to the Phats & Small template of how to have commercial success, this too could reap similar rewards.
