This is a trance must-own. 10/10. There's not a track on here that's unengaging or doesn't hold your interest. Consider it a firmly entrenched classic of the genre. The last track is one of the best chillbeat songs you'll hear.

Vibrasphere does it again. This album is just excellent. Trance to make you think and feel. I would hesitate to call this psy-trance though - to me it's laid back enough to sit nicely in the progressive section. Every track is flowing and subtle, with an energy that pulses rather than bangs. It's amazing that music this simple and low key can contain the high level of emotion that it does. 'Archipelago' should be listened to from start to finish as a musical journey to be fully enjoyed and appreciated. Good stuff.

For some reason I've never been able to commit myself fully to the Vibrasphere sound. I mean, obviously, these guys know what they're doing and everything is put together effortlessly. I just like a little more craziness in my music. Likers of Lime Structure will not be disappointed, though. As with LS, Vibrasphere is still churning together some deep progressive trance tracks with ventures into housey territories. Also Vibrasphere sticks to making long tracks. Except for two tracks all are clocking in at 8:30 mins+, which is a plus in my book. Vibrasphere wants to put you on a voyage with every track. All very nice. If only the destination was a little more crazy and unpredictable, I could fall head over heels. Even so, fans of Vibrasphere ought to have their expectations safely met here. Archipelago oozes the Vibrasphere touch, and even if I'm not their biggest fan, most of the way I am still pleasently entertained. Besides, with opening track Tierra Azul almost matching Manzanilla in terms of romancing, that alone should make this album a safe purchase.

Once in a while there comes an album that reminds me why I like trance music to begin with. Vibrasphere's new album, Archipelago is one of those albums. Once you hear track 1, Tierra Azul, you know you're in for a treat. A great chillout track with a beautiful piano line in it... Not a good representation of the rest of the album, but a gorgeous song. The next 7 tracks are straight up psytrance (one track however tends to lean more towards breaks). All of them are unique and very dancey. The closing track, Late Winter Storms, is another chillout piece. Long organic sound. All in all... trance fans who have been looking for a breath of fresh air and something unqiue should check this album out ASAP.
