Jan Autobahn's "Traktor", the title track of this ep, is the kind of track you would expect from Trapez. That is, it is the kind of quality you would expect from Trapez. However, it is much more ferocious than many of the other releases on the label. After hearing this track for the first time, I told mates that it sounded like a mad man chasing you through the forest with a chainsaw. As ridiculous as it may sound, I stick by that description. The gnawing bass hook in this track is very sinister as it plunders on relentlessly, albeit at a fairly slow pace. The simple but effective percussion on this track complement the main hook perfectly and after a menacing build up in the middle it, explodes into top gear and is the kind of track that, placed well enough in a set, would lift the roof off any room. The B-side "Bull" is ok, but the standout track is definitely the A-side. Techno Chainsaw Massacre!
