One fine day my wife and I went to a very commercial and accessible mega store because she had found a super deal on a soundtrack CD she had been looking for. As I always do in any record shop, I decided to see if they had any Panasonic material, knowing full well that the chances of such a store carrying anything remotely interesting was minimal. To my surprise, they actually had a Panasonic section, which had only one lone CD, "Gravitoni". I hadn't heard of the band releasing anything "new", and immediately bought it for $25 (+ numerous sales taxes). It was later I discovered this was the band's swan song, their final studio recording as a duo, after a good 15 or so years of activity. Starting with a bang (to say the least), and rarely letting go, this is perhaps as intense as Panasonic has gotten since the first disc off of their "KESTO" 4-CD box set. With some less rhythmic morcels squeezed in towards the middle of the disc, the intensity barely lets go, making sure the listener is constantly on their toes. For "Pan Finale", the duo delivers strictly the most "classic" and "representative" piece of their rhythm-oriented sound, complete with sounds borrowed from their own pre-Panasonic earlier solo careers, ending in true style with electronic feedback which intensifies until an abrupt stop.
