A pretty mixed selection of various genres ranging from ravey, dark acid techno to ambient. The bassline in Planet - "N-Trance" does sound a bit like Goa to me. There are also tracks with saxophones which is somewhat of an oddity for the styles of music featured here. There are some worthy tracks though. My personal top pick is The Alchemist - "Certain Future" A really nice instrumental piece with a pleasant guitar. Especially to myself, who doesn't enjoy guitars on many tracks. Nice -"Vickings" is a typical rave techno track with a fairly basic 303. Though, I find it quite enjoyable and lacks any moment I would find dull. Neuron - "Nocturnal" is a very nice dark acidic ambient track. It's just too bad that the length of this track is so damn short. Despite the number of moniker names, all the tracks were produced by Nicolai Vorcapich (Though he did colaborate with other people on some tracks) who also released three other obscure rave tekno compilations on an Austrian label by the name of Eurotrend. The quality of those compilations are very similar to this one. There are a number of OK tracks, though each have some hidden oldskool gems. Though. this compilation seems to be much harder to find than the three released on Eurotrend. Doesn't sell for much, since no one really wants this compilation and most techno compilations of it's time don't sell for much on Discogs or any other music marketplace. Oh yeah, if your curious about track 15 Darkstar - "Silence" it's literally 20 seconds of pure silence, technically making this CD 15 tracks instead of 16. The Image - "ID" is a very short excerpt of track 1 "The Light" Featuring only the female vocals and the saxophone, stripping all the acid techno to zero. For the relatively low price this goes for, doesn't really hurt checking this out if you enjoy oldskool rave tekno. The best thing I can say is that there isn't anything awful here. Though I find track 15 pretty pointless.
