Lulu Rouge did it again! First album "Bless You" turned out to be the second best thing ever to come out of Denmark. Only beaten by "The Last resort" from Trentemøller. Get it f you didn't already! Now trying to follow up seems almost like an impossible task, however..... Where "Bless You" is this centuries "Wish You Were Here", "The Song is in the Drum" is this centuries "The Dark Side of the Moon". I can hardly wait for Lulu's "The Wall". Why, how, who ??? This album has one extremely rare quality. You do not want to Fast Forward any indivudual track. It is all very well connected. Different moods, different rythms and still it just plays along with interesting sound features, beats and more. This quality is a huge step up when concidering hard copied media such as Vinyl these days. I have no doubt, this album will stand the test of time. Also, this album first pressing will sell for significant spendings once these 300 copies are off the shelves. The Album:Cover - Gatefold cover nicely laid out. A lot of text has been removed as opposed to the previous iTunes release. "Lulu Rouge" is moved to left inside of the Gatefold. Check images. I kind of missed the Label Code at cover rear and the actual labels of the discs. However, less is more proves to be true for "The Song is in the Drum".Inner - This album does not include innersleeves w. lyrics. This was also the case for previous album "Bless You" (2008). Might be a nice addition for a future Lulu Rouge part 3 (The Wall).Vinyl - Double 12" black vinyl at 180gr. Where "Bless You" had cornered edge of the outer rim of the vinyl this has the familiar rounded edge and feels nicer. The print seems up to standard and the sound is clear and crisp. Also deep frequencies reproduce nicely.Content - "The Song is in the Drum" has everything you would ever hope for in Electronica Vinyl. Not only an extremely high level of content overall, but also tracks that will iconize this album right into the "Hall of Fame" of all time. Sign Me Out and Landscape of Love are in itself just brilliant, but elevated further by the fabulous vocal of Fanney Osk. Where this album hurts the most is in Romano Song, where Annisette Koppel does her thing and makes "Hey You" look like a sizzy. Try it is all I can say.Trying to review this album, I slowly realize, there are no words. Get it! ... or regret it forever.5 out of 5 without a doubt.... I'm a fan, hands down
