Adorardana
Rinôçérôse's electro-rock hybrid continues on SCHIZOPHRENIA, the title perhaps suggesting the two pulls of their musical leanings, but with the growling beats and talk-sing lyrics of "Get Ready Now," it's pretty clear: they're going in a much more rock direction, electric guitars and all. "Stop It" continues that vein, and "Bitch" introduces a touch of Gallic riot-grrl energy, though it has a nice electronic interlude (as does "Pleasure and Pain"). But the rock parts overwhelm the more delicate moments, and while it's not a bad thing necessarily, it also makes the album rather bland, instead of giving it pop. "My Dreams" slows things down but it doesn't necessarily give it more personality. And other tracks are just hot messes ("Cubicle," "Fu**y Funky Music," and its female-fronted reprise). A nice attempt, but not every attempt succeeds.
