Danny Brown's most honest album yet. Many people were excited for the new production direction when the single "When It Rain" dropped. Of course, the album features brilliant new direction for Brown's rapping - offering a fantastic palette of glitched and distorted beats featuring influence from an eclectic handful of genres including jazz, industrial, hardcore techno and IDM.However lyrically this album shines above its beats. Danny Brown is at his peak with lyrics that incite upbeat energy from his intense and charismatic flow, yet without sacrificing coherency. The songs here paint pictures of struggle, triumph, glory and anguish. Real subjects are explored with the most well written detail yet for Danny Brown as he talks about death, drug addiction, robbery and a very real fear of morality. It comes in hard and hits hard offering heavy rap bangers that at the same time give the listener top notch, in depth lyrical content

I am not sure if the beats are always the best that they could be, but I found out that the album shuffles well and has potential to grow musically. Keeping clear of sexist slurs would have been much appreciated.
