I grabbed a spare copy of this to decide only later if neel's edit was needed to me...so it's not, and I'm open to trades as well as offers. I don't want to shark on this at all, but I'd like to get back how much I paid for this.Message if intrested.
Shakataxe
There it is: sold out yesterday and today one copy is being sold at double price. Same story again and again...
Kage
The first pressing was only something like 480 copies. To only make 500 more is a farce.

Anyone else upset with how steep the price for this is? £28.99 (just under $41) and it's not a deluxe gatefold or anything special, just a color variant. Feels like they're taking advantage of resellers who know they can flip this for 2.5x the price anyway and anyone else just gets kinda screwed.
Silver Globol
Yeah I have to agree with you, I realize now what I said was kinda ridiculous lol. They're doing it right cause these still sell out, just taking advantage of high demand. Like you said, is what it is.
Mr_Mole
I agree with you in principle. It's just that I don't think that this is what is going on with Boomkat. For instance, they're currently selling a reissue of "The Tired Eyes of Stars of the Lid" (black vinyl), which also is a triple LP, for £28.49 (although it is out of stock). Their topseller (which is also out of stock) is currently The Caretaker's "Everywhere At The End Of Time - Stage 4", a limited edition, blue colored double album. It costs £26.99. It is what it is.
Joni_Dep
Indeed, the resell value is inflated. But I can't see how Boomkat is doing anything wrong when they are selling a limited edition cyan colored triple LP for £28.99. The price is reasonable compared to the other stuff sold by Boomkat. It's not like the limited number of copies would last longer if they gave them away. But, yeah, it sucks to miss out on an opportunity.
Oparae
This was indeed £19.99 on moss green vinyl when first released so the price hike is significant. But hey, they've repressed it because there's demand, and outside of the price I don't really see how it's screwing anyone over?
Giamah
What you both have commented is totally valid, but it's why I wanted to say this. At face value, £28.99 is a lot for a new record. But because of this being a limited release with lots of resell hype, the £28.99 tag doesn't look so bad. I know that this is a good move from a business standpoint, considering supply and demand. But, from a consumer standpoint, it just doesn't sit well with me. It feels like a very ungenuine practice, and it makes me worry about future vinyl releases being priced at slightly unreasonable amounts because of this situation being ok with people. Sorry for turning this release into an argument. This is just my opinion of course, if you feel the music is worth the money than it's worth the money and you should enjoy it, enjoying the music is what it's all about. :)

Yes sir..I don't understand the complains about the repress of a record that in order to get so far you would have to shell out triple digits in $$$..And the first version was also in a single sleeve, so what's the big deal..I was lucky to buy the moss green version when it was out, feel lucky it got a repress so now you will be able too..And what's with the flippers..?If a record sells too much blame it on the flippers..If it gets repressed, blame it on the flippers (again)..Where's the logic in that..?
FailCrew
Or, be happy with this unexpected opportunity to get this record for less than 80£. And BTW, here's how much it cost when it was first released : https://www.juno.co.uk/products/rainforest-spiritual-enslavement-green-graves/632924-01/
Skyway
I feel the same way. Didn't the first release only cost something like 19 pounds or so? I also don't like the color choice on this one. It's almost as bad as the pink vinyl version for Borgia.
