Couple things: Skin Deep is my fave here, and samples Chip-E's extremely early house track from 1985 w/Mirage, "It's House"... unforgettable... also this record comes in brown translucent vinyl...

Laying the foundation to another wave of techno - chuggy, funky, banging warehouse music right here. Best heard loud, in the mix, in a warehouse or underground club environment.

One of my fav's by Millsey. 4 classy tracks, with a bit different attitude than his usual works - they're a bit more funky and clubby. It's "L8" which does miracles while played on a party; so does "Call of the wild" but it was played over and over by basically every techno dj. Oh yes, and both "Skin Deep" & "Scout" started a new path in funky techno, followed by many artists, especially by Samuel L Session and Deetron. Ben Sims recently did a remix of "L8" - hope it gets released soon.

I bought the record years ago and it always goes down well at parties. Highly recomended.

Gotta be my favourate Purpose Maker release to date - the vocal sample in 'Call Of The Wild' hypnotises those dancefloors - i've seen this track seriously erupt in many clubs. An essential tune not to be missed!! GET IT!

Trainspotters only !! "Call Of The Wild" is based around a loop from the percussionbreak of "Get on the floor" by Micheal Jackson from his "Off the wall" lp from 1979. Understand where Techno is coming from; know your roots in Disco & Funk !
