As I mentioned on the Discogs page for the original vinyl release, most, if not all of the (orchestral and perhaps electronic) music on this album was not composed by Attilio Mineo, but taken from the Valentino / Major Records production library catalog. Two of the composers were in fact George Chase (aka Michael Reynolds) and Roger Roger. Some of the Valentino music by Chase, Roger and others were also used in Moody Science documentaries during the 1950s (and perhaps also in some of their documentaries during the '60s as well). All this Subliminal Sounds CD version indicates is that the music was composed in 1951 and recorded in 1959. The Subliminal Sounds website also goes as far as to say "this recording proves Attilio Mineo to have been an unbelievably progressive and underappreciated composer and arranger." As far as I've been able to ascertain, the orchestral parts of the "Man In Space With Sounds" album sound exactly like the recordings from the Valentino / Major Records albums, so what exactly Mineo "conducted" or even composed remains to be verified. The main reason I'm making an effort to bring this information to light is that the actual composers like George Chase should be properly credited for the music which made this great release possible.
