You name the things you like about old school house music, this 12" has it. When I first heard the A1 of this record over a month ago I knew I had to get the whole package. I could even call it a forgotten classic. Many late 80's and early 90's European productions (like Technotronic's "Pump Up the Jam") owe a lot to this kind of Chicago products.
Hellstaff
Still a favourite of mine. Kool's lyrics and rapping are razorsharpe: he is dissing KRS One on this record because KRS One told everybody that HipHouse was shit and their MC's couldn't rap. Well, with this record Kool Rock Steady proves that a marriage between House and HipHop CAN be succesfull.
