The New Order was a one off release mostly consisting of a field recording. The name was most likely chosen to protest the pop group New Order using that name (it was originally the name of a post-Stooges group) and cause confusion. Likewise, William Bennett added extra names to the cover. Genesis P-Orridge was certainly not involved, and was very mad about the release - making it a point to visit shops and destroy the covers. Though it is NOT questionable whether Steven Stapleton was actually involved in the release either. Fragments from the sessions can indeed be heard on the 150 Murderous Passions LP and on Nurse With Wound's Insect And Individual Silenced LP.

The name "The New Order" was in fact a reference to Nazi Germany, rather than the Mancunian band.
