Actually you need to go to Giorgio Moroder for the first synthesized disco sound. Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" and Mr. Moroder's "Chase" from the Midnight Express sound track. both which were released in the late 70's.

On the label is reprinted 8:45. But real length of the tracks on the vinyl is 9 '.

This record is a must have & true it is one of the most influential dance records ever made. Miss Kitten & Felix Da Housecat sampled it for the main hook in silver screen shower scene. Thus kicking off the whole electroclash movement & kickstarting a whole new sound in post 90's dance music. However anyone who really wants to know where the synthesized disco sound Bobby O "invented" came from please check out the true originator Patrick Cowley. Stolen or borrowed it really is upto the listener. However check out menergy by Cowley which was produced in 1980 & you can hear the sound Bobby O used for most of his disco producing career. Sadly Cowley passed away but not before making some of the most important electronic records ever.

I have the same record. But with another label in the middle. it's not the same as all the ones shown here. It's the well-known red and pink Ramshorn label. Does anyone know if there's a difference with the other ones? Catalog number is the same, as well as the tracks. Cover of the 12" shows the Flirts, just like on the album that was released in the Netherlands. The single has the same cover.

Ramshorn have a great hit with the Flirts-Passion. the 1st pressing was the red one, then there came a 2nd pressing that's the one as you see above with the Yellow ring on the label. On boystown gang ramsh-12-3090 Ramshorn did the same also 2 different ring colors (can't take my eyes of you was also a big hit in the Netherlands and the Benelux

If there's one record which could be described as one of the sexiest, dirtiest record on the dancefloors ever, then it's this record from the early 80's. Producer Bobby Orlando created this monster in 1982 and it's impact is comparable with his Divine-productions from the same era. Before 1982 there weren't many "Disco"-records which were entirely created with synthesizers and drumcomputers. It was (almost) always created with live instruments such as guitars and for example real horns. This record is completely electronic (maybe only the percussion is live) and it's a blueprint for many Italo-records which followed afterwards. The Hotmix 5 guys from Chicago were canning it heavily in their mid-80's radio-shows. How Bobby Orlando did it: I don't know, but his sound has never been surpassed by others. Whenever u hear his productions, you'll always recognise his sound. He also produced the very early version of Pet Shop Boys "West End Girls" before they went more "commercial". "Passion" will stand the test of time and is a classic: search for it and buy it. It has a great sound and it's still playable. 10 outta 10 and one of my alltime top 5's.
