IG Culture gathered an amazing blend of talent in this EP that makes it one of the most impressive of the broken beat short era. Ian Grant offers four numbers of agressive caothic electro funk, with unexpected rhythms, punching strings, lots of tension and even hooks, with a very blaxploitaition attitude. Of the four tracks the first two are the best ones: two takes of paranoia sang perfectly by Eska (pre Herbert and Zero7 times) and Eric Appapoulay with such complexity in the arrangements that I still can listen to a new detail each time I listen to the tunes. Or, to be honest, the first one just pays for all the four songs, with the always amazing Chix on Stix, with the caothic beats, with the best things broken beat and IG Culture could give back then.
