"Let's go. Right. Go go. (*drum machine*) Let's dance. Pertini super disco dance. Let's dance. Pertini super disco dance. Just the music. Just the music. Just the music." - what an awesome chorus to a defining italo disco song! "Pertini Dance" by S.C.O.R.T.A. is a truly amazing italo disco song. It really surprises me how so few know about this release. After all, we're talking about the biggest italo disco label at that time during its BIG year 1984. However, it appears this song had a very limited release, and I'm not sure why!? Perhaps the original intent of being in Italian and only later getting some very difficult-to-understand English vocals made it less demanding at the time. This song has 3 versions, English, Italian, and Instrumental. Excellent female vocals with male backup, but the Instrumental can make this much better in a discotheque since the male vocals get VERY scrappy at times. Easily, this song hits the same level as "Playboy" by Venise, "Body Heat" by Fockewulf 190, or "Tumidanda" by Frank Tavaglione - all very, very similar A+ productions and all very well known italo disco songs that are quite popular to this day. It wouldn't surprise me if Discomagic/Superradio/Market/F1 were all working hand in hand in 1984 with the same Jupiter 8 (just a guess based on how similar Pertini Dance is to those other releases). 10/10.
