Super wicked early rave ;)

Wierd and dark, trippy and wonderful. This is a totally original breakbeat hardcore tune from 1992 that is bordering on unique. 'Childrens Stories' got alot of play at the big traveller raves of 1992 by the likes of Spiral Tribe, Bedlam and Circus Warp - but it was certainly a day time tune to totally spin out the troopers still on the dancefloor. Interestingly 'Freinds, Lovers and Family' released a record under the name 'Eze Ozo' on a label called Beatfreak in late 1991 that is equally unique and equally brilliant.
from earth
EZE OZO, was an awesome and original, like all the artists in the stable at that early time. The thing that actually linked all these tracks/artists is this:All tracks were engineered By Laurence Elliot-Potter, and Philip Earle at LAW'N'ORDER, Hoxton, 1990-1991 (NUFF RESPECT!!)Friends Lovers & Family were just the new guys in the label collective. Teaming up with Laurence, Wilf Frost, and Nicky Howes came with the Breaks, and curious samples to really start things off.EZE OZO & FONZ both contributed to BEATFREAK, Dylan of EZE OZE going on to Mash the AMEN break for a while.. PEACE EVERYONE Anyroad,'The Lift' is the one for me all the way here.Amazing production full of twists and turns and one of the best ever vocal samples taken from Australian TV soap 'Neighbours' where Todd Landers says 'I know why you suddenly don't wanna go to the dance...it's because of the strobe light' then later 'Get into a trance with the strobe STROBE!' Also has a great, live TB-303 section : )
