the vocals from this track originate in a 1989 release by Andrea Martin i believe https://www.discogs.com/Andrea-Martin-Dirty-Love/master/187403

Sounds like the keys sampled the beginning of Surface - "Falling in Love". I have the dusky release which includes the original, one of my favorites.

I cannot fault this track. the majority of what I listen to is techno but this is a beautiful deep house groover. Simonelli is an underated producer and if i ever suggest his work to people I suggest they listen to this one. It will rock any dancefloor... its just such a warm, positive and uplifting track, but in such a laid back way. I hate to use a cliche but ' timeless classic' does fit

The deep dub (B1) shows that Simonelli knew how to produce sublime house music. I have no problem with the vocal but, for me, the instrumental has to be heard on it's own. I don't need anything else on top of that beautiful track. Dig it out and play it again.

Ahh, my first Sub-Urban record, and the first time I saw the name Victor Simonelli on a record. Classic Garage Track.

Sheer class from Mr. Victor Simonelli, I take my hat off to you. First encountered this track on a Roger Sanchez mixtape from around '92 and it remained nameless for a long time, just that track on that mixtape. Fortunately one of my mates had it, and I could finally put name to track. Like most of Simonelli's work, by himself or with other collaboraters around this time, it's simple yet sublime. Tracks like these typify the Deep House Sound of New York in the early 90s. A bonafide T.U.N.E.

yeah special jam, really encapsulates the whole era super well as you said.
