Matt and Jacqueline did it again. The new Ishq album is as exquisite as all the others. Still, this one has a peculiar flavour. Vocal samples and sometimes sparse instrumentation bring Ishq into the vicinity of Alio Die, stylistically, another creator of (a different) exquisite music.So, the the lushness of the legendary "Orchid" album is diminished, and the sounds itself, the composition, the organisation of sounds, gain importance. By this, the mysteriousness increases, the deepness that is not the depth of an abyss.Once again, the in five sections separated album flows continuously. Towards the end, one is reminded of "rainshine in summerland", though without the rhythmn. But, with the other 40 minutes before, it makes a completely different sense.After the fluffy "Skyspaces" and the diffucult to classify "Deep Space Objects" a bit of a new direction in Ishq's music, which deserves nothing less than a 10/10.
