Warp brings forth Nice Nice, whose album, EXTRA WOW, continues their increasing incorporation of rock into their roster. With a thickness to their sound, they thump their way through these tracks, with a few electronics additions here and there, like the bleeps on "On and On" or the video game undercurrent of "See Waves." But for the most part, it's fuzzed out guitars and thudding drums. They do add a nice off-kilter rhythm to "Everything Falling Apart," a sunny Jamaican vibe to "Big Bounce," psychedelic chanting on "A Little Love," and even some harps and other stringed instrumentals on "New Cascade." The album is nice, not quite nice nice, and just regular wow, instead of extra.
