Track 1 recorded by Lee Buddle at Sound Mine Studios, North Perth, October 1992. Commissioned by Evos Music as one of a series of one minute pieces by West Australian composers to be played on Radio RTR during the Artage Festival, October, 1992.

From the liner notes: "A piano is said to be 'ruined' (rather than 'neglected' or 'devestated') when it has been abandoned to all weathers with the result that few or none of its notes sound like those of an even tempered upright piano."
