Although not the most recent recording, this still is rated as "the reference" of this epic work fom G.F. Händel. The cast of singers is universally excellent and alert to the unique drama that Handel and Jennens (libretto) created in this Oratorio. The reissue of this recording after more then 10 years is both enlightinig and a true heritage of the many famous Händel works recroded by Tervor Pinnock and English Concert.
