Original inner sleeve is two-sided advertisement / proof-of-purchase for the CBS Great Performances series, with pictures of the first twenty-five releases on one side (although the pictures do not accurately reproduce the sleeves), and a list of the remaining seventy-five on the other (see photos).

Track timings as given on the label for side B, vary slightly from the CD version, either shorter or faster by 1-2 seconds. Individual track timings and titles are not given for the Enigma Variations (although identifications of the figures about whom Elgar was writing are provided in the notes), nor is there a clear division on the vinyl surface itself (the Variations run more-or-less continuously), but times are retained from the CD version source for clarity.
